RK. Heliski’s tenure lies in an ideal zone for winter snowfall—a true convergence of favourable conditions. Consistent low-pressure systems from the Pacific sweep over our region, delivering plentiful, dry, low-density snow. Situated at the apex of the Purcell Mountains, we receive strong moisture flows paired with colder alpine temperatures, preserving the snow’s light, powdery quality. This rare combination creates consistently exceptional conditions that often last well into April.
Perched at some of the highest elevations in British Columbia, RK. Heliski offers a uniquely rewarding experience that sets us apart in the Canadian heliskiing industry. With many of our runs beginning above 10,000 feet (3,000 meters), we provide access to pristine alpine terrain few others can reach. As climate change increasingly impacts snowpacks worldwide, our high-altitude zones offer greater reliability, helping to maintain the deep, dry powder and consistent conditions that define the RK experience.
